We are currently working on a UX Design Lead role within a Digital Government agency based in Brisbane with a hybrid working way (ideally 2-3 days in office) for an initial contract until the end of June 2026.
  
Hourly rate is up to $120 p/hr + super.
  
As the UX Design Lead you will design interactive experiences for the government department.
  
Candidates with recent Government experience highly desired. If you don’t have recent government experience, you will be reviewed but may not be the right fit for this opportunity.
  
Role –

• Design interactive experiences
• Safeguard design principles/standards
• Decision making whilst leading a team through a human-centred design process. 
• Design interactions with government services including authentication flows and application forms
• Employ user-centred design techniques to develop site maps, flow diagrams, information architecture, wireframes, prototypes
• Assist in optimising design operations
• Conduct/participate in user research
• Maintain project documentation

  
Skills –

• Over 4 years’ experience in as a Senior UX Designer/ UX Lead
• Experience in leading customer-centred design
• Strong UX design experience with a digital and/or omni-channel focus
• Extensive experience with process mapping and process improvement
• Understanding and application of Design Thinking principles
• Government agency in a design capacity exp highly desired
