This is a brand new opportunity for a software engineering leader to step into a global enterprise. This organisation is known for their strong culture and collaboration, especially within the engineering team. 

Reporting to the CTO, you will be responsible for maintaining a successful and critical legacy .NET application with a focus on modernisation in the future. you will work across the entire end to end stack of .NET including Entity Framework, Windows Forms, MVC, SOAP and WCF sitting on top of a MS SQL Server. Your technical expertise will be crucial in designing, building, and testing robust code that meets those requirements.

About you

• Minimum 5+ years' experience in software development, using either C# or VB coding, testing and automation techniques to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Proficient in some of the following: C# or VB, SQL Server, SOAP or REST.
• You're passionate about software engineering and know exactly what it means to ship high-quality code.
• You're a highly collaborative team-player who thrives in a team environment and can also work independently.
• Good knowledge of software design patterns (e.g. Singleton, Factory etc)
• Appreciation of the SDLC in the context of agile delivery, different agile delivery methodologies.

Desirable

• Familiarity with Azure DevOps and experience with the Cloud (e.g. Azure, AWS etc)
• .NET Core experience and any knowledge of upgrading existing .NET frameworks.
