So, who are we looking for?
A skilled Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join a dynamic team focused on pushing the boundaries of defence technology. This role centres on developing innovative electronic systems and subsystems for future defence applications.

You will lead the design of a wide range of products, executing 3D CAD modelling for system sub-components, assemblies, and tooling, and creating detailed manufacturing drawings. The designs will incorporate integrated electronic systems and utilise a variety of lightweight, high-performance materials.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

• Design and development of mechanical components, systems, and tooling to support integrated electronic systems.
• 3D CAD modelling of components, assemblies, and integration system sub-components.
• Generation of assembly and manufacturing drawings, ensuring compliance with Australian Standards.
• Evaluation and optimisation of designs to enhance product performance, safety, and reliability.
• Prototyping and assembly of systems and supporting equipment for testing initiatives.
• Development and execution of test plans, including field testing and flight testing.
• Failure analysis and safety assessments to ensure product reliability.
• Collaboration with external suppliers for sub-components and raw materials.
• Conceptualisation and delivery of product systems within budget and project timelines.
