Job Title: Manual Tester – ICT Projects
Introduction: Are you an experienced Manual Tester with a passion for ICT projects? Join an essential government department and play a key role in delivering cutting-edge solutions that contribute to Australia’s economic growth. The CIO Division is seeking motivated and skilled Manual Testers to assist with the delivery of a variety of ICT projects across the department.
Day rate is open but subject to experience, rough estimate around $700-$1,000 p/d + Super
Only candidates with recent government experience will be considered at this stage.
Please note you need to be in a position to obtain a Baseline Security clearance (Australian citizen).
Key Duties and Responsibilities: As a Manual Tester, you will:

• Assist in testing a variety of ICT projects, ensuring high-quality deliverables through thorough functional, integration, and regression testing.
• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test strategies, ensuring they align with project goals.
• Collaborate closely with key project stakeholders, providing regular updates and feedback on testing progress and issues.
• Use industry-standard tools for test planning and defect management, including DevOps/TFS.
• Stay up-to-date with testing principles, ensuring methodologies are effective and efficient.
• Work within an agile team to deliver ICT solutions in a geographically dispersed environment.

Essential Criteria: To be considered for this role, you must demonstrate:

1. Proven experience with functional testing, integration testing, and regression testing.
2. Expertise in developing test artefacts, including writing, reviewing, and executing complex test plans and cases, and developing test strategies.
3. A solid understanding of testing principles and techniques, with a practical ability to apply them in a dynamic environment.
4. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience interfacing with key project stakeholders and team members.
5. The ability to work effectively, collaborate, and deliver ICT solutions within an agile and geographically dispersed team.
6. Hands-on experience with DevOps/TFS for test planning and defect management.

Desirable Skills and Experience: The following would be highly regarded:

• Experience with Dynamics 365 CRM testing.
• Familiarity with modern testing tools and technologies, including Visual Studio, Microsoft Azure, Office 365, Azure DevOps, and working with TFVC and Git repositories.
