The Company

Our client is a growing Cloud Services company based in Brisbane who are looking for a lead Developer to run the development within the business.

The Position

Some of the core components of this role are…

• To lead the development of internal systems for billing and maintenance operations
• Setting up tools and processes to improve development processes - Introducing Agile development methodologies
• Mentoring junior development staff
• Writing software to interface with network switch API’s

The ideal candidate

• Would have an understanding / experience of Billing, Subscription and Usage Consumption Models (in arrears, in advance invoicing)
• A Solid understanding of Contract Management
• Ideally an understanding in Service Order Management
• Solid background in integration of systems, and Service Orientated Architectures (SOA)  

Nice to have….

• Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the software development field.
• Development experience in Java, Python, Perl, KSH, XML and SQL. UNIX and Windows operating system.
• Familiarity of key cloud, colocation, telecommunications architecture and deployments.
• Ability to grasp structured concepts in order to provide design documentation and recommendations.
• Experience with any Accounting software
• Experience integrating API driven data flows between business-critical systems, with an
