Senior DevOps Engineer... into Lead

What we are looking for is a Senior DevOps Engineer which will essentially become the Lead as you settle into the role. This will be the first official hire in the “DevOps” team, although some infrastructure has been implemented, this person will be able to grab the bull by the horns and make change. Essentially aiming to ensure the product remains reliable, fast, safe and highly scalable.
  
A bit more about what we want in you… we want someone with a track record of implementing change in a product… improving performance and advancing automation. You will have worked with complex systems in the past, the more complex the better.
  
Skills Required:
  

• At least 5 years’ experience as either a Dev Ops Engineer or a Software Engineer with the relevant technology skills
• You will have experience with conceptualizing, designing, developing and delivering highly available software/infrastructure
• You will be ideally Azure or other major cloud platforms
• Preferably you will have experience with Chef or Puppet
• You will have experience with automating build and deployments with build tools such as Bamboo or Jenkins
• Additionally, it would be advantageous to have custom scripting experience with at least one of bash, PowerShell, ant or python
• Automated testing, integration and delivery processes for software, infrastructure, and release management are a must for the role
• You will know the development life cycle better than the back of your hand including Agile methodologies
