JDP have teamed up with a global electronics company and are currently on the hunt for their next Field Application Engineer to drive their design chain value proposition.

You will play a crucial role in generating a significant number of design wins in technologies and registrations, contributing to the growth of their business. The Field Application Engineer will interface with the engineering departments of customers and suppliers, providing pre/post-sales support, conducting research, and participating in design and development activities.

Your responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a proactive technical sales account penetration strategy, presenting new products and technologies to current and potential customers.
  • Understand customer needs and collaborate with design, production, and engineering departments to develop and execute technical strategies that address customer design challenges.
  • Identify and develop relationships with key technical decision-makers and influencers in each account.
  • Drive the adoption of advocated solutions that meet customer needs, leading to increased design activity, design wins, and sales growth.
  • Provide general application and product-level sales training, align with the sales team, and communicate account calls with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Identify and track significant design opportunities from concept to production, utilising supplier resources to maximise potential for success.
  • Create presentations and sales tools to enhance technical value and become a trusted advisor to both internal and external customers.
  • Manage products from inception to completion, involving communication and consultation with customers, sales, and vendors.
  • Research industry trends and directions, sharing insights with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Solid understanding of business, financials, products/services, and market trends.
  • Recognised as an expert in the field, with a high level of complexity in managing accounts and sales processes.
  • Works independently or leads teams in pursuing and managing strategic accounts with autonomy in setting and negotiating terms.
  • Bachelors degree in Electronics/Electrical or related field
