Position Summary:
The client are a FinTech company currently in a massive growth phase with their flagship product about to launch. They are on the lookout for an Engineering Lead to join their team and support them throughout this phase. As a Lead Engineer you will be responsible for all areas of management within the business including people management, project management, hiring and financial management.
  
The ideal person will have previously managed people as either a team lead or engineering manager. This is the perfect opportunity for someone who is currently in a team lead position ideally looking to take the next big step up in their career.
  
Required Skills:

• Previous leadership experience either as a Team Lead or as an Engineering Manager.
• Experience using Python and/or .NET.
• Previous experience running a project from end to end.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver technology solutions that support business goals.  
• Partner with the product owner to understand business requirements, evaluate features, and translate application specifications into workable technical solutions. 
• Maintain application software and systems.  
• Ensure all projects and releases are appropriately tested and risks are mitigated. 
• Oversee and review development activities of team members.
• Support technical initiatives and provide input into best practices to team.
• Work with key stakeholders to design complex solutions and lead from inception to production.
• Innovate for best practice and improve team processes, mentor junior team members.
• Awareness and understanding of their team’s role and deliveries and new feature development
• Writing technical design documentation as required and workflows.
• Analyse delivery practices, identify areas of improvements, recommend and implement tools and practices for improvements
• Provide training to Software Development Engineers on strategies, standards, tools and processes.
