Melbournians love sports right? AFL, Rugby, Cricket and even Soccer? Well if you have a passion for sport and also are a pretty damn good DevOps Engineer I could have the perfect role for you.

We are “teaming” up (like what I did there ;) ) with a fantastic business who ply their trade partnering with sports teams on a global scale. Their product is a secret (not because it’s new) but because I don’t want those pesky recruiters finding out my client. But of course give me a call and we can discuss further – details below.

Anyway… I am on the hunt for a DevOps Engineer to work in Melbourne’s inner suburbs. The ideal candidates will have excellent skills across cloud (AWS), CI/CD, Containerization and so on.

You will also need excellent communication along with a “team player” attitude, the software team work collaboratively so you will be able to bond and hold a conversation! The culture here is fantastic, I personally have been for beers with a few of the team and I safely say they are a great bunch.

Technical Skills Needed:

• AWS – must have
• Experience in administration of networks
• A love for scripting and automation!
• Running infrastructure as code
• Strong understanding of AWS Security
• Knowledge of software development practices
• Bash and other scripting languages

Nice to have:

• Sporting knowledge – not just that Messi is better than Ronaldo
• Containerization with Docker or Kubernetes
• Automated deployment

About You:

• Agile development experience
• Great communicator
• Team player – collaborate with colleagues well
• Get sh*t done, strong work ethic to work through tight deadlines

Not only the above but this is a must... you will have a few good jokes up your sleeve – for example - Just seen a French footballer playing on a nintendo…It was Thierry on Wii (feel free to send me your jokes)
