VP BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT - BUILD THE AUSTRALIAN MARKET (AI / DIGITAL ENGINEERING)

Sydney | Hybrid (3 days office/client)
OTE $320k–$370k + Super

If you’re a senior enterprise seller tired of pushing generic consulting, rate cards, or staff aug deals… this is a different game.

This is a true “build it from zero” role where you’ll own new business for Australia - selling high-value AI, data, and digital product transformation into ASX200 organisations.

What You’re Actually Selling:
  • Revenue-generating digital platforms
  • AI & data transformation programs

  • Strong engineering capability
  • Proprietary AI accelerators (used to win + deliver deals)
  • Partnerships with Databricks & Snowflake
You’re selling business outcomes, not bodies.

The role:
This is a senior “player-coach” hunter role.
  • Win net new enterprise logos (FSI + Retail focus)
  • Own the full sales cycle (no handoffs)
  • Sell into C-suite (CIO, CDO, CTO)
  • Shift deals from staff aug - outcome/value-based models
  • Build and scale the ANZ sales function over time
Right now: you are the tip of the spear
12–24 months: you’re building a team under you

What They Want:
  • Proven enterprise hunter in digital consulting / transformation
  • Strong understanding of AI, data platforms, cloud ecosystems
  • Comfortable selling complex, multi-stakeholder deals
  • Entrepreneurial—can operate with ambiguity and build from scratch
  • Bonus: network across FSI / Retail in Australia

The Package:
  • Base: $200k–$250k + Super
  • Y1 OTE: $320k–$370k
  • Clear upside as you scale the region
