We're partnering with an established Australian technology business that's investing heavily in modern cloud architecture, AI-assisted software engineering and the continued evolution of its customer-facing platforms.
We're looking for a Technical Lead who enjoys staying hands-on while providing technical leadership across a high-performing engineering team. This is a genuine technical leadership position where you'll influence architecture, mentor developers and help shape engineering standards, while continuing to build software yourself.
 
 
What you'll be doing

• Providing day-to-day technical leadership across the software engineering team.
• Designing, building and maintaining enterprise Azure infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code.
• Developing modern full-stack applications using .NET, React and TypeScript.
• Building secure REST APIs and integrating with internal and third-party platforms.
• Driving the adoption of AI-assisted engineering tools such as GitHub Copilot and Claude Code.
• Working closely with architecture and engineering leadership to shape technical direction.
• Leading code reviews and mentoring engineers to deliver high-quality, secure and maintainable software.
• Championing engineering best practices across cloud, DevOps, scalability and security.

 
What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Technical Lead or senior hands-on engineering leader.
• Strong commercial experience designing and operating enterprise Azure environments.
• Excellent C#/.NET development skills.
• Experience building modern applications using React and TypeScript.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, SQL and microservices architecture.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Bicep, Terraform or similar).
• Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions or modern CI/CD tooling.
• Exposure to AI-assisted software engineering tools in a commercial environment.
• Strong communication skills and experience mentoring engineers.

 
Nice to have

• AWS experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
• Azure certifications.
• Experience working within highly available, customer-facing digital platforms.
