We are seeking an experienced Software Developer for a 12 month contract to contribute to the development of complex programs, documenting technical processes, and assisting with testing and deployment activities. 

The Defence portfolio plays a vital role in protecting Australia from global threats and advancing national interests. It provides foreign signals intelligence, enhances cybersecurity, and conducts offensive cyber operations, all in alignment with directives from the Australian government.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement complex programs using multiple languages, such as Python, within diverse development environments to deliver robust solutions.
• Create scripting solutions in languages like JavaScript, with additional expertise in technologies such as SQL.
• Adhere to and enhance established software engineering processes, driving continuous improvement.

Essential Criteria:

• Extensive experience with Python and RESTful APIs.
• Strong proficiency with front-end frameworks, especially Django and Angular.
• Expertise in automation tools such as Kubernetes and Docker.

Desirable Criteria:

• Ability to work effectively as part of a cross-functional team, integrating both technical and non-technical personnel.

Security Requirements: AGSVA TSPV clearance to perform the role.
