Join an inspiring not-for-profit organisation in the healthcare space in a newly created PR Specialist role to contribute life-changing campaigns and partnerships in Australia.

In your role, you will be raising awareness, educating communities, and supporting with research to support those in need and their families.

As the PR Specialist you will work closely with the Senior Manager to:

• Drive proactive and reactive media engagement and coverage
• Lead large-scale PR campaigns for momentous fundraising events
• Contribute high level media releases, press releases, strategic communications plans and strategy
• Support media events and launches associated with case studies and research
• Partner with leading stakeholders, ambassadors and advocates to increase awareness and messaging

About you:

• Demonstrated experience in public relations, media and strategic communications either in an agency setting or in-house (4+ years of experience is ideal)
• Strong understanding, experience and passion in the healthcare industry
• You’re a writer – you can write for press releases, media releases and effective content for targeted audiences and communities
• Knowledge and experience across the media landscape is a MUST - you know how to pitch to the right media outlets and build relationships with relevant media contacts
• You’re a people person – stakeholder engagement comes naturally, you know how to manage relationships with ambassadors, advocates and multi-level stakeholders
