About the Role

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in environments where you can bring structure to complexity, modernise digital foundations and create a seamless, accessible and engaging user experience.
You will be the owner of the organisation’s digital channels - ensuring the website, platforms and digital experiences are functional, user‑friendly, accessible and aligned with the brand.
  
Your day to day

Digital Strategy & Leadership
  • Develop and deliver a digital channels strategy aligned to organisational goals
  • Bring clarity to digital processes, priorities and governance
  • Lead and mentor a small team, supporting capability growth
  • Work closely with Marketing, Communications, Fundraising and IT
Website & Digital Operations
  • Oversee day‑to‑day website management, content updates and UX improvements
  • Ensure accessibility, functionality and brand consistency across all digital touchpoints
  • Manage plugins, integrations, security updates and technical troubleshooting
  • Improve site structure, navigation and overall user experience
Analytics, Insights & Optimisation
  • Own the analytics ecosystem (GA4, SiteImprove, heatmaps, etc.)
  • Ensure accurate tracking, tagging and data integrity
  • Build a unified measurement framework
  • Drive continuous optimisation through A/B testing and UX research
SEO & Performance
  • Lead SEO strategy and day‑to‑day optimisation
  • Improve visibility, search performance and content discoverability
Vendor & Platform Management
  • Manage external digital vendors and agencies
  • Oversee digital platforms and ensure regular maintenance
  • Ensure transparent scoping, cost control and delivery accountability

  • Experienced in managing and improving complex digital environments
  • Strong across website management, UX, analytics and SEO
  • Confident leading digital strategy and digital operations
  • Skilled at working with multiple stakeholders and teams
  • Able to bring structure, clarity and direction to a busy environment
  • Motivated by meaningful work and improving user experience
 Experience with the following is highly valued:
  • CMS platforms (WordPress, Drupal, Squiz or similar)
  • GA4, Google Tag Manager, SiteImprove
  • Heatmapping tools (Hotjar, CrazyEgg)
  • SEO tools (Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog)
  • UX testing and optimisation
  • Vendor and agency management
  • Working across Marketing, IT and Communications teams
