Just Digital People are working with a fantastic software product company in South Melbourne. They are a tight knit group with a great vision and product.
With a team of around 6, they really want someone to come in and lay some excellent foundations for their team in terms of process and technical direction. What they are missing is the technical leadership piece, where you can ensure that best practices are in place and the team are running smoothly. They want’s someone with a good knowledge of TDD, SOLID principles and AGILE, not only the knowledge but being an advocate for these practices!
The right candidate will have a technical background, and there will be opportunities to jump back in and get hands on with code every now and then, but this won’t be a large part of the role and the large complex problems you will be solving. Technology-wise they work with Python and Django, and have a native mobile team as well.
What do they do? They work close to the real estate industry, working on various software products used in many of Melbourne’s real estate agencies – the rest is a secret!

About You:
- Current or recent experience in leading a development team
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder skills
- Excellent motivator – good ideas on how to motivate and incentivize team members
- Strong character, able to take on board and give feedback whenever needed
- Exposure to DevOps and ITIL Environments – bonus points
- Cloud infrastructure experience – bonus points
