Just Digital People are working with a technology-forward men’s fashion brand based in the trendy inner suburbs of East Melbourne, who are on the hunt for a
lead UI/UX designer.

You will be working within one of Australia’s fastest growing technology focused, custom apparel businesses for men, which recently placed third out of 1500 companies nominated in The Australian Financial Reviews Most Innovative Company Awards.
 
This role will see you focussing on end to end design practices, ensuring that industry standards are not just met, but exceeded. You’ll be playing a vital part in the management team and the direction of design for the whole brand.
 
Key Parts of the Role:

• Lead all research for effective reach of the product
• Report findings back to the CEO and devise plans on how to use the findings for increase in product popularity.
• Create user journeys, prototypes and wireframes to draft back to the development team
• Mentor and guide other team members, lead the design vehicle from the from
• Decide on new hires for your team, fitting with the culture of the business
• Think strategically with the business’ best interests at the heart of what you do
• Be an advocate for the brand at all times

 
 
What you’ll have locked down:

• Previous experience leading a team/ mentoring other designers, no matter the size
• Working with the likes of Axure, Sketch, Figma, Adobe Suite and InVision on the daily
• A firm grip the full design spectrum, from research through to UI
• A strategic as well as emotional way of thinking to engage with both the users and the owners of the business
• excellent communication skills and stakeholder management
• you'll have an up-to-date portfolio that shows the processes behind your design- VERY IMPORTANT
