Experienced Design Manager needed to grow and mentor a great team of designers. You will be working in a business across multiple products that are some of the best I have seen to date.
This high level design team is looking for a talented, passionate, detail-oriented Design Ops Manager with strong appreciation for visual design & a background of UX. The Products in this stream of the business are dynamic, fast-growing and high-impact categories within the Australian Technology space. They have a team of customer-obsessed Product Designers that translate business needs and requirements into intuitive, stunning, engaging and exceedingly usable experiences for their Australian User Base.
These roles are exceptionally hard to come by at all, yet alone here in Brisbane. This company has recently gone through some HUGE changes and has entered a new phase on their journey. This opportunity will have you being active on the tools while nurturing and mentoring your own team - Yes, there will be a few meetings in there too for good measure!

You:

- You will be the head of recruitment & on boarding the design team
- Professional development support
- You will be joining the management team & partaking in their decisions around strategy, vision & mission
- Establishing a clear vision for the design team
- Taking ownership of our design principles, values & culture
- Facilitate workshops & design sprints
- Work with our Research Lead to ensure harmony between design strategy & design execution
- Define our best practices, be our best practices & teach them to our business
- Formalise and document our design processes
- Be forever growing and learning as a mentor yourself (we help with this)
- Keep our team engaged and help them be the best designers and version of themselves

Experience:
- You will need 5+ years as a Senior Designer in a digital product company or agency
- 3+ years managing design teams
- Change management experience
- Work from home 2 days / week
- Have a budget of 3K to work with on your own learning & development
- The BEST products & the BEST team to go with that you will get to lead
